VMWare always uses it's own drivers. They are pretty much Generic drivers. Open VMware program > Select your VM in the left column >then do not play the VM but click just below that in 'edit Virtual Machine settings' > Then select Display.

I tried to see if changing the values to just 1080p and upped the graphics memory up to 1GB, but still the same warning, like I said It's just the warning, but no effect on the virtual OS. It could also be Ubuntu just needs to settle in, like most OS's you get warning for the first few days sometimes, then they just go away on their own.

Yes, and you may get some updates from Ubuntu that will solve the problem. Also, if you haven't, install the VMWare Tools. It makes life much easier. I doubt it will solve that problem, but it sure helps with other things.

Already done, after first install, on both accounts thanks. I'll just let it run a while in the background and see what happens.

Can also run the Linux updater, see if it helps. Here is what my Mint install shows:

Look at this, I'm running Ubuntu in a VM and Win10, listening to WMP, and browsing the forums, and still not even beginning to stress my resources. Win10 is just made for this
