    Not working


    Hi

    I needed install (full) windows 10 again and i tried that method but somehow its not worked.. i have all things right because when i update my explorer then icons left and they are folders or do i need restart my pc? and question does i need to leave this register key to empty or put it that normal (default icon path) and change ONLY this created (default icon) path thing?

    Hello,

    Correct. You would only need to add the registry values to change the default icon.

    To restore the default icon, you could either delete the added registry key for the folder or use the default icon path in the table for the DefaultIcon key value.

    Go ahead and export what you have in the registry for these folders and post it here to see if anything may stand out.

    It looks like you didn't follow step 12 to the letter.

    You would want to use the full path of the .ico file with file extension like below, and have the full path in quotes since you have spaces in the path.

    Please go ahead and post a screenshot of the correct path in the registry to see if anything may stand out.

    If you like, upload the .ico file here. I'll be happy to test it on my system to see if there may be an issue with it.
