    I just recently downloaded and installed a free icon pack and some of the icons didn't change like others did. The icons that didn't change are icons that I have customized in regedit how do I undo the regedit icons I placed in there. I have had the icons like this for a long while and don't have a restore point for them. So is there a easy way to fix this issue.
    Hello Dawn,

    If you used Option One in the tutorial, you can just delete the CLSID keys from the steps to restore them to default.

    It shouldn't matter about Option Two.

    I see the problem.

    Your CLSID long number keys in the left pane do not have the { } brackets wrapped around them like the others.
    I use them at Windows 11 and still work.

    @MourningStar, curious how did you find the Clsid of the Contacts folder?

    Sorry, I do not recall how I did it. I wish I would have posted the process -

    Hello,

    The CLSID for the Contacts folder is: {56784854-C6CB-462B-8169-88E350ACB882}

    Thank you Shawn, that's the only one missing in HKCR\CLSID. I probably should leave it alone since you left it out of your tutorial.

    Yeah, it will not actually open the folder like the others, but just references the Contacts folder instead.
