Hello Johny, and welcome to Ten Forums.

The screenshot under OPTION FIVE shows the default setting of the Windows Update service for having updates enabled.

OK, manual. Not what I would have expected. https://www.tenforums.com/attachments...te_service.jpg

So the updater software "manually" starts the service?

    Thx!

    I can't get it to work. I did option #2 and step # 3.

Correct. The service will be started on demand.

    Hello Clint,

Your screenshot shows the "Some settings are managed by your organization" at the top indicating that you have successfully enabled the group policy to disable automatic updates.

Were you having some other issue with this as well?

That's normal when updates have been disabled. It's the same as in the example screenshots at the top of the tutorial.

Thanks Brink. I guess I was expecting too much. I thought you would be able to select which updates that you wanted and down load them only like 8.1. I don't see any difference than like it was before the fix. The only choice that you have is download all.

Yeah, it would be nice to have the option to select which updates to install like in previous Windows.
