So for Windows 10 Home users, there is no way to use the disable Windows Update service method and be able to check for updates but choose when to install them?

Hello, and welcome to Ten Forums. :)

I'm afraid not. About all you can do in the Home edition is to hide or uninstall/hide the update.

    Hello Drugo, :)

No. It'll only affect what the policy is for.

only 1 question about this tutorial ->option five ->
To Enable or Disable Automatic Updates by Enabling or Disabling Windows Update service
a screenshot shows that should be set to manual (trigger start )

but the task scheduler starts the service once every day, if i'm right , so should be set to disabled ?
    thanks

    Hey Drugo, :)

Yep, manual (trigger start) would be the default setting for the Windows Update service.

You would want to stop and disable the service to completely disable Windows Update.
