but....when I look at your screenshot... the UsoSvc is not disabled... it's just stopped. So it's also wrong.

So I disabled windows updated while ago. But recently someone linked the OpenGL/OpenCl compatibility package that apparently exclusively unstalls through the store. Which fails claiming that windows update is disabled via group policy. ( 0x8024500C )
So can I have automatic updated blocked and be able to install stuff manually at the same time?
Could this method work?
It's a rather old article.
It is also explained in TenForumTutorials and it continues to work.
It will continue to prevent all automatic updating except for those in MS's ill-defined 'security-related' updates category. The trivial update KB4023057 is the only example of that I have seen or heard of and it only gets re-issued once or twice a year.

Is this the only way to be able to install stuff from store but also have automatic updating blocked. Or is there something better?
