    Macguru,

Windows 10 Home users would have to use OPTION TWO in the tutorial since it doesn't include group policy.

If you have the red "some settings are managed by your organization" message in advanced options, then it worked.

The "Available updates will be downloaded and installed automatically." message you see in Windows Update is just a generic note, and is not what determines if the setting worked.
I did install it via option 2. I will have to wait and see what happens when new stuff is rolled out. Much more encouraged now! Thanks again Shawn !

I used the reg file and set to notify to download.

When I clicked check for updates, It automatically downloaded and installed, But It should ask me to (download and install) or not rite?

See how it works the next time you get updates. :)

It should have worked in the first attempt itself?

Brink, None of the methods worked for me correctly. When I check for updates it automatically downloads and install them.

In that case, set it by Group Policy to see how it does in case something went wrong while merging the .reg file. I just tested again on my system, and it's still working.

I had to unblock the reg file first to get option 2 to work for me

On RTM, I haven't been able to get it to work, either.

Then again, it randomly started working on the original 10240 build, so who knows. Maybe it will work at some point. But as of now, I haven't gotten it working on RTM.

Is this for a Home or Pro edition?
