Add Jarte to New context menu

"Rich Text Document" is already there, but the file appears to be created with wordpad, so my Jarte settings are not included. Also, how to delete unwanted items in New. If I can add Jarte, then no need for Rich Text Document, or, for that matter, Bitmat image and Contact.

    Hello @jona9,

You can use the tutorial below to remove unwanted items in the New context menu.

I already have all those items in my "New" context menu. I want to add "Jarte RTF" to the "New" list. Somehow OpenOffice was able to do it, as "OpenDocument Text" is an additional option in my "New" list. The resulting file is "New OpenDocument Text.odt". I want to be able to quickly create a Jarte document, with my personal settings, wherever I want.

Sorry, I thought you wanted to remove the "Rich Text Document" item in the New context menu.

You might post in the Customization - Windows 10 Forums area to see if someone may know a way to add "Jarte RTF".

No need for apology, I'll follow your advice and repost elsewhere. I was able to remove unwanted items in my "New" list. I assume that a minus-sign, as in your .reg files, in front of an item removes that item. Thanks for your attention to my concern.

Correct, the minus in the .reg file deletes that key.

Just make Jarte your default for .rtf files...

    EDIT:

1 will create a blank .rtf document on your Desktop,

2 will open an new instance of Jarte ready to create a document.

Jarte is my default program for opening .rtf files, but not creating .rtf files. The problem is that when I select "Rich Text Format" from the New context menu, wordpad creates the document, and my Jarte settings are not applied to the new document.
