Apply Local Group Policy to Non-Administrators in Windows 10  

Ah right, there is a problem with proper internet access on my target machine where I am at the moment because of wireless restrictions, I have to get the wifi mac address 'whitelisted' (don't really understand this I'm afraid!) but as it's not part of a domain I thought it wouldn't affect the local policy stuff. I'll try it again on another machine which does have proper wifi and internet access.

I ran the restore script again and this time it completed successfully but there's no sign of the policy being in place (after a re-boot). I opened up MMC and loaded the Non Admin User Policy, saved it, ran GPupdate /force (succesfully) but the policy still doesn't get applied on my non user account.

Bit Stuck.

When creating a Local Group Policy to Non-Administrators in the way you've shown. It does not create anything within the System32/GroupPolicy directory as if your were creating a group policy for all users in the "Local Group Policy Editor".

I've attempted your script here as well as LGPO and both are searching for files within the "Group Policy" directory which do not exist.

Is there another place these files are being kept?

No it does not. It creates the folder but nothing is inside the folder.

I think I've found why this isn't working in my case. I've just realised that my target machine is running Windows 10 Home and not Pro. I think there are problems with the global policy editor in Home editions, could this be why it's not applying the policy? Will try this with machine running Pro to see if it works.
