Fixing a System Information "non responsive"

Great tutorial. I don't know if anyone else has had this issue, but when I tried to save a file as .nfo, the System Information app would hang & I would get a corrupt .nfo file.

I finally found a solution & thought this might be an appropriate place to put it (if not, please delete or move it):
At https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...5-0afccca2aa60, I found this suggestion to work.

    Open msinfo32.exe
Go to Software Environment > Windows Error Reporting & wait for it to fully load
    Then File > Save
I found that before finishing, it will still say “not responding”, & you must wait it out. You will get a much larger .nfo file, which will open without error.

Hello and thanks for the tutorial!Unfortunately, the *.NFO files generated by Windows contain the username in many places, for company computers the company name, and may also contain information such as department names, printer names and locations, and various file names and paths that one probably would not want to openly disclose on the Internet, or to third parties. Is there a way to create a reduced system information that contains, for example, only information about hardware and software?
