    List of Shortcuts to Directly Open Pages in Settings in Windows 10

    The Settings app is where you can change most settings at in Windows 10. Settings will eventually replace the Control Panel.

    Almost every Settings page has its own URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) that allows you to open any Setting page directly from a command via the command prompt, Run (Win+R) dialog, address bar of File Explorer, address bar of web browser, and in scripts (ex: .bat). You can also use these commands to create shortcuts.

    This tutorial will provide you with a list of ms-settings URI commands to directly open or create shortcuts for any Settings page in Windows 10.

    To use the URI commands to open Settings pages from command line or script (ex: .bat), you would need to add the Start command with a space after it in front of the URI command in the table below.

    For example, you would use the command below to directly open the Windows Update page in Settings from command line or script:

    Start ms-settings:windowsupdate

    For example, you would use the command below to directly open the Windows Update page in Settings from Run or to create new shortcut:

    ms-settings:windowsupdate

    For example, you can add explorer in front of the command like below to be able to create a shortcut you can Pin to Start and Pin to taskbar.

    explorer ms-settings:windowsupdate

    A page that I open frequently is ms-settings:defaultapps/Choose default apps by file type. Can that be opened with one command?

    Hello Bob, :)

    I haven't found one for "Choose default apps by file type" yet.

    Is there an MS resource (TechNet?) or command (PowerShell?) to show all URIs?

    The reason I ask is because I've noticed Settings > Gaming in Win 10 1803 Build 17134.285 shows a TruePlay entry in the left-hand navigation pane but the URI isn't shown in the list above.

    As a result my REG file to turn Gaming off in Settings no longer works:

    Code:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
    ; Settings - Gaming entry - Turn OFF

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer]
    "SettingsPageVisibility"="hide:gaming-gamebar;gaming-gamedvr;gaming-broadcasting;gaming-gamemode;gaming-xboxnetworking"

    Instead I get this remnant:
    Settings Pages List of URI Shortcuts in Windows 10-trueplay.jpg

    I assume I have to add the URI for TruePlay.

    Ha... this works:

    Code:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
    ; Settings - Gaming entry - Turn OFF

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer]
    "SettingsPageVisibility"="hide:gaming-gamebar;gaming-gamedvr;gaming-broadcasting;gaming-gamemode;gaming-xboxnetworking;gaming-trueplay"

    Gaming entry now gone from Settings.

    However, my question remains about about how to list all URIs as Win 10 evolves.

    PS - I reverted my VM to Build 17134.48 and TruePlay was there so I don't really know which build it was first added.

    Hello @RickC,

    TruePlay now added to the list.

    I'm not aware of a complete reference for this from Microsoft. I had to hunt and find each one.

    Thank you again. I didn't pick up on this link first time round but have now bookmarked it.

    It helped me get rid of the (useless for me) Settings > Phone entry:

    Code:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
    ; Settings - Phone entry - Turn OFF

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer]
    "SettingsPageVisibility"="hide:mobile-devices"
