Sorry it didn't work out for you. You may want to try a clean. If you do, back everything up.

Personally, I'd try an in-place repair install first. You keep all your installed apps and files that way, still a good idea to back up first though.

When attempting to repair a Windows image Offline, does it matter if the WIM file was mounted first and; thus, using the Windows directory within the install.wim as the source? I believe that is what Microsoft refers too in this article.
Code:Dism /Image:C:\offline /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:c:\test\mount\windows

Hello KabyBlue, :)
If you like, doing a repair install would be easier and more reliable to fix Windows.

@mingus, that command line looks correct, assuming you have Windows 10 Pro.
First, try it without the /limitaccess, sometimes the source files it looks for are on the windows update servers.
Have you had problems with windows update failing? Is that why you are trying Dism? If so, see the solution in post #11 in this thread.
Windows 10 Update Error Code: 0x80073712Following Shawn Brink’s tutorial (which was great), I have been unable to fix the windows update problem I have encountered. The step 6 process dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth /Source:wim:F:\sources\install.wim:2 gets to 80.6% completed and then errors out with the 0x800f081f error.
Yes, windows update database is corrupt. that is what the troubleshooter says. yes, Win10 Pro.
I tried it without /limitaccess switch. thanks for the reply.
Hello mingus, :)
If all else fails, you could also do a repair install to fix the corrupted system files without losing anything.
