    Hi,

    Sure but just like @WOT nothing seems to work. Both registry keys were already deleted etc. But still the same error.
    Mounted the sourse ISO for Image Health, have a copy of its .Wim file in d:\Sources for DISM to work with, all to no avail.

    Cheers,

    Source(in my case a wim file) worked for me too:
    Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup&sfc/scannow&Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:wim:G:\sources\install.wim:1 /limitaccess&sfc/scannow&pause

    Hi,

    OK, thanks @ Cliff S. I'll investigate this further and see what gives. I'll report back if succesful.
    All my installs are clean installs which I assume should simplify things a bit. No cigar this time 'round , I guess.
    @WOT: Same version as Cliff S. In reality this is the IP version I use whch is the same as the official one AFAIK.
    The problem is not new, it started quite awhile a go on earlier IP versions.

    Cheers and thanks for taking your time on this, much appreciated.

    Hi,

    Thanks for that. I just copied the cab file to c:\ and that worked just fine.
    Hi fdegrove,

    Really glad to see that it (.cab file) worked for someone else as it did for me. That's very reassuring :)

    Hi,

    Thanks @Cliff S. Does it also work when a source is specified ?

    Cheers,
    Works here;
    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /source:wim:D:\Sources\install.wim:1 /limitaccess

    Hi,
    @IronZorg89 :

    It did install the .Net cab package but that does not solve the problem we're disccussing here. In fact I fail to see any relation between the two quite different issues.

    There is no reason to install .NET unless you needed it for a program. It just happens to have the same Microsoft error number as it cant find its source file unless the cab is in the root folder apparently.
    ... have no idea why .NET fix is in this thread, except somebody did search the error number and didn't read.
