    So I now did a repair which went just fine.

    Unfortunately though, I still have the exact same issue even after doing the repair.

    In that case, you could try reinstalling the driver.

    It would be for the storport.sys file for the IDE/SATA/AHCI controller driver.

    Problem is I can't find any device looking in Device Manager using this driver. So not sure what device to reinstall the driver for.

    I too have 3 copies as seen below. Interesting is the newest one is considerably smaller than the other two. Looking at the date, I would like to have Windows use the latest (and smallest) copy of the file but I have no clue how to accomplish that.

    Edited to add one more thing I tried with an interesting result.

    Booting into safe mode, SFC doesn't report any issues. It will only fail when booting Windows into normal mode.

    The first file on your list at 34.6KB does appear to be a problem, too small in comparison to the other 2 files shown. It may be possible to delete that small one, Copy one of the others to Paste in its place and reboot.
