I confirmed the drive letter(s) and tried without the /limitaccess switch on both a DVD-mounted ISO and a thumb drive-mounted ISO. Same problem with both.

In that case, you might consider doing a repair install to fix the system files without losing anything.

It'll keep both desktop apps (programs) and Windows apps (Store/modern). :)

The repair install seems to have worked. SFC shows no problems.
    Thanks, Shawn.

Thank you for your reply! :)

Here is the result. Please advise me what to do next to repair my installation. I have the official 10162 ISO on my other SSD.

    Attachment 24985

    Attachment 24986

Here is the reason I am trying this. Look how many times today's update has failed installing....

    Attachment 24987
Same issue, And the same reason why I'm doing that as well.
    Failing Cumulative and Security updates.
Refreshed, Reinstalled Windows like 3 times and yet em issues prevail through. and tried both x86 bit and x64 bit windows versions and retained the same errors and update failing issues as well.

Shadow Delta, you have an ISO or installation USB, for the same build and same bit version you have installed? I don't know what build you have installed, but your specs say Windows 10 X86. So, if you have the ISO or Installation USB for Windows 10 X86, and the sam version (Home premium or PRO) as what you have installed, either insert the USB or mount the ISO. Tell me the drive letter assigned to the USB or ISO and look in the sources folder and tell me whether you have an install.wim or install.esd.

I tried the command with the dive letter and parameters after mounting the image, but it ended up with error codes exactly as the reply's above. I can't install any cumulative or security updates not online or via offline and have to hide them once they turn up where as i can install the rest of the non essential system updates without any issues.

The drive letter is H in the case and I have an Install.wim file not an esd. Tried that and it turned out with a source not. something issue after following the code.
