In that case, you might see if running it in the built-in Administrator account may work better.

If not, then you could do a repair install to fix them without losing anything.

Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade

Brink, I get the same thing in the built in Administrator account and Domain Admin accounts. It looks like a repair install is in my near future. Thanks for trying to help.

    Hello @PzSniper,

As a test, see if using step 7 for a install.esd instead may work better for you. :)

.esd? How? It's not available this version of Windows Insider with it? Only .wim

    isnt it ?

If you got it from Microsoft using Option3 below, then yes it'll use a "install.wim" file.

    https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/...d.html#option3

I just tested a build 15042 ISO on my 15055 installation, and got the same error as you. It may be due to the build number not being the same.

DISM ... /RestoreHealth is failing on all recent Insider builds, including 15055 due to a missing FlightSigning package in the install.wim. If you check your CBD.log it will show this. The error is not very accurate, as it happens even though it found the Source install.wim just fine.

Check sfc /scannow. If it runs error-free, or fixes what it finds, your install is as good as anyone's. The install.wim in the install media is simply incomplete at this point, even though Windows installs and runs fine.

Talk about invaluable info -- I haven't spent >2 days fixing windows since vista. But just did trying to get Apps working again with DISM borked the whole while!

I figured signing up here is a walk in the park by comparison (even if the confirmation email was located in junk/spam of hotmail) if only just to say THANKS DC!!!!
