It's normal for the Bluetooth adapter to show up in "Network Connections" when turned on even though it's not an Internet connection, but still considered a network adapter.

Thank you for the reply, sir! One BIG question that I do have: Why--in my screenshot--does Bluetooth show as disconnected when I have a device connected to it? Does that have to do with it not technically being an internet connection?

did this today but had to do it in windows , as looks like comcast xfinity blocks changing this in there routers that sucks.

There's an error in the Google Public DNS settings. It should be "2001:4860:4860::8888" and "2001:4860:4860::8844" instead of "2001:4860:4860:8888" and "2001:4860:4860:8844". Note the missing semicolon in the collapse.
