    HI Shawn
I went through a process of adding all my critical folders to sync with OneDrive.
It all seems great but i have 3 Pc's syncing with OneDrive this does not seem to work that well with my setup.

I seem to have a few issues
1, I use Fences to organise my desktop and my current method of having it on OneDrive it is not seeing what is inside the Fences Desktop Areas/Folders
2.My main issue is how sluggish it is to save items to the desktop i get like a 30 second delay before it saves.

Would i be better moving it back to default location and if so do i use the move option?

    Hello @thorrrr,

It would be worth a test to move the folders back to default to see if that sorts the delay.

NO! There's file/s in C:\Users\USERNAME that can't be worked with, one in particular is NTUSER.DAT, screwing with that could make Windows unusable. That file may get changed at times, I see mine was changed on 1/1/2020 at 8:54am, don't recall what I was doing to cause it. I learned from my mistake some time back.

If drive/partition space is too low necessitating moving things around it probably is time for a larger drive.
In C:\Users\USERNAME , would it be safe to move the location of these folders Desktop, Documents, Downloads, Pictures, Videos, Music to another drive that store data only? These folders tend to collect data files so I would like to move their location to another drive that store data only and no need to worry about accidentally format data files when I reformat windows. Thanks.

    Hello comcom,

It is safe to move the folders to another drive if wanted using the Locations tab.

I have already been using my Windows 10 PC for a few years so I guess there are already some programs that uses these folders Desktop, Documents, Downloads, Pictures, Videos, Music, if I move these folders to another drive using the Locations tab now, the programs that uses these folders will auto know the location of these folders has been changed to another drive new location correct? Thanks.

When you move any of these folders using the "Location" tab, the new location is referenced in Registry Editor to point to the new location.

Anything that uses the old location should automatically get pointed to the new location, but there is a chance some older programs may not properly use the registry to know the new location. If this happens, you can manually change any available settings in the program to point to the new location.

I think you could also put a symbolic link under C:\Users\Username to point to the location the folder was moved to.
