In that case, you should be able to move your Documents folder to the external drive.

If the game doesn't recognize the new location, then you could create a symbolic link for the "Electronic Arts" folder from the external to inside the internal Documents folder to redirect it to the external location.

Yes, you could use any one of the create "junction" point options for that.

    Hello Vic, and welcome.

Where are you trying to move your Documents folder to?

The error message indicates there's already a folder named Documents at the location. The access denied bit means you require elevated administrator rights to access that location.

My Docs were in C:\ and were filling the drive up quickly. I have attempted numerous times to move them to G:\Documents which is an empty drive.

How do I give Admin right to the folder/drive?

Your way is problematic. Sooner or later it becomes confusing and chaotic.

What you do should be the 2nd step.
The first step is explained here:
Change Storage Save Locations in Windows 10
In the 2nd step you copy the path of step 1 into the "Location" path of step 2.

Has the "G" drive been formatted using the NTFS file system?

If you are backing up your Documents folder to OneDrive, this could be the cause of the access denied.

Rather than trying to move your 'Documents' folder - simply create e.g. a 'My Documents' folder on the drive or partition. You can, should you wish, include that in a library. Much simpler - and safer.

To add, regardless of what you can do in Windows most programs that can create files such as a word processor, spreadsheet, graphics, etc., will have a choice in Options or Preferences of setting a default location for the Save of those files. The other choice of Save As is used to specify a different location as a one-time save.
