Hello all, Just curious if anyone has had issues with the latest Insider Build 17093. There has been a discussion in the Insider forum as there are several users that tried to clean install with the resulting ISO image using rufus to make a bootable flash card. The end result being it would just boot up to the troubleshooter screen.
Hello Johnny, welcome to Ten Forums.

Sometimes before posting it woud be a good idea to read older posts in the thread from at least past few days. This issue is explained and solution given (how to clean install build 17093) in post #1,016, posted 4 days ago.

My apologies Kari for not going back far enough in the postings, only went back for a few pages with the Arm discussion. The link you posted is what we ended up doing to finish the clean install. Just wanted to report this as there were a few users with this so not sure what has changed. As mentioned previously, another poster in the Insider forum used uup-converter-wimlib-14 and his resulting ISO worked as it should with the install menu coming up instead of the troubleshooter.

You are welcome. As I posted in the Insider forum when we get the next release, I plan on making 2 ISO's, one from each program just to see if there is any difference or if it was just this build. I would not even have noticed as I just mounted the image to upgrade my other systems which worked fine, till one poster reported booting issues. It got my curiosity so I clean installed in a new virtual machine, and confirmed his issue. At first we were not sure if it was the image or rufus. Thanks guys for hearing me out.

I tested wimlib version 14 yesterday and can confirm you are right. It creates ISO without issues. What it means is that it's time to update our tool, I will try to do it before the end of this week, posting here a note when done.

    Windows 10 Enterprise

I haven't done too much of a deep dive into this (only tried this just recently) but, I'm running Windows 10 Enterprise (volume license) and this creates a Pro ISO/WIM. I tried adding my Enterprise product key onto the ISO via PID.txt, but no dice, says it's not valid (probably looking for OEM instead of VLK).

After the install, I can plug in my product key and it successfully upgrades from Pro to Enterprise, but, is there something I'm missing that this only creates a Pro ISO instead of Enterprise?

I haven't used Pro in a long time, so I don't know how the upgrades work in the background, or what features Pro doesn't have. Are all the required packages for Enterprise on the Pro image? I didn't notice my OS pulling any additional downloads after I plugged in my Enterprise key.

I'd like to have an Enterprise ISO so I don't have to go in and change product keys/upgrade every time. Is there a hidden command somewhere that assumes I'm running Pro since it's not recognizing I'm actually running Enterprise?

I was hoping this would simply things instead of going through the hassle of the Windows AIK every time.

Microsoft "unified" editions since WIP 17063

only Pro and Home are real editions, other editions are "virtual" (there word not mine)

so, the only way to get Enterprise is either by modifying Pro install.wim and upgrade to Enterprise with DISM
or just use the product key after installation

As is the (admittedly, slightly locked) Afternoon 540 in the Snapdragon 835 in my Pixel 2 XL.

Which is why I wanted to see if I could start playing with WinX on it ;p

Very great hardware too...a bit at the slower side today compared to the latest Malis (ARM has made HUGE advances lately) but still not terrible at all.
    @johngalt
I must make a correction to my previous statement regarding the Adreno 540. That is not old nor slow GPU. Actually one of the best performers currently.
