Use ALT+option number (the normal keyboard button, not numpad)
or disable the new cmd experience

apprently it's a bug in cmd V2 for this build, or msft changed something in choice.exe
Thank you very much for the suggestion. I could finally find a way to enter the UUPtoISO option, but it was not so straightforward.

    I had to use not only ALT but also CTRL along with the number key for several times until it would accept the input. An example of the sequence looks like the following;
    - Hit Alt and <number> at the same time -> you will hear beep
    - Repeat above for two to unspecified number of times
    - Hit Ctrl and <number> at the same time -> you may or may not hear the beep
    - Repeat above for two to unspecified number of times
    - Repeat above two patterns or use both Ctrl and Alt plus <number> for several times,

UUPtoISO will take the option <number>, sooner or later. You can start with Ctrl instead of Alt. But you have to change the pattern at least once before the option would be accepted.

I did not try "disable the new cmd ecperience" because I could not find how to do it. But I think Bilal66 guessed correctly that MS did something in choice.exe because I had no problem to enter the UUP file location like "d:\UUPs_16193" using the keyboard.

Anyway I very much appreciate your helpful suggestion.

The story remix feature in build 16193 is well hidden in the photos app. To enable this feature you have to update the photo app. Click the windows store app and when it opens click your profile picture on the top right corner of the screen to access the menu. Click on Downloads and updates and then check updates. This will update all the apps including the photo app. Once updated the photo app will now show explore, create, and folders buttons. Use the create button to create a story out of your photos and videos.

Tried creating .ISO from 199 build and uup2iso just beeps. Ideas?

Is that what the CMD v2 talk is all about?

My virtual machines are still downloading the upgrade, I have had no possibilities to test this yet. I am aware of the issue as other members have reported it, too.

I will post more later tonight. I have tested an alternate method to create Insider ISO a few times with last three build upgrades, it works well (even includes WinRE!). I will test this method later tonight and if it works also with the new build post instructions.

After installation, I found the directory in the Windows.old folder so I gave it another shot.

I tried ALT + 1 didn't work. I then tried hitting CRTL + 1 and it didn't work. I finally tried just hitting CTRL and ALT numerous times, after which ALT + 1 worked.

I still have the files available, so I might try to pin it down to exact numbers.

OK, culprit is a bug in build 16199 upgrade which apparently although not documented was already present in 16193. I have found a fully functioning workaround, will do a few more test runs first to be absolutely sure then post details & workaround here within an hour.

No rush Kari. I just didn't want to miss it, that's all. Take care of yourself - that's most important. :)

I have just had same problem - at the select option 1, 2 or 3 in main menu, pc just bleeps rather than accepting keyboard input.

    Thanks,Kari, for the workaround.....

I did a kinda klutzy but workable workaround here. Don't think it would apply to many others. After update, and before cleanup, I did a Macrium image, booted to my CU, mounted the image, and grabbed the path from the mounted windows.old Download Folder. Worked fine.

Obviously you need another OS in dual boot or something. Maybe a VM,not sure.
