    Hi,

That's because AMD were the first to implement 64 bit extensions for x86 cpus.
I guess this AMD64 naming is what they are forced to use by the legal department.

    Cheers,
    Thanks for the information!

I've always wondered why I have to use amd64 in answer files instead of x64.

    All feedback welcome.

Hi Kari, is the link to the UUPtoISOSetup tool in the quoted post still linked to the latest release 2.2.x?

    TIA & Cheers

A note for users that use third party antivirus. As was stated before by Kari, only the installation utility is digitally signed, final utilities could present threat to AV, especially heuristic part of them. This is because the nature of this utility.

In my case Bitdefender had to be suspended in the time of installation, restoring from quarantine didn't work. After the installation when AV was enabled again, it automatically put utility in quarantine. Restoring from quarantine and adding an exception helped and utility was operational.

I use ESET Smart Security v10 in every IP release. Until the latest version - pre 2.2.x - of the UUPtoISO tool, it never protested about the tool. Windows itself did so about the digital signature. I'll keep an extra eye open for that!

I don't understand what you mean. If you meant from a while ago that maybe the Windows.old folder was truncated because of the space issue, you could be right, but this is the first I am hearing of this happening.

    Hmmm...

Anyways, it is getting late here on the Pacific Coast so I will be turning in. If any responses come in from now until early morning, I won't be responding instantaneously.

Thanks again for all the help and feedback.
OK, Roger, I'm creating a VM with only a 20 GB VHD to see if in fact the lack of space is causing any issues (which both Kari and I suspect that it is).

I've got build 15048 installed on there now, and there is 9.46 GB free. However, after downloading the update, I'm betting that there will be less than 3 GB of space free before the update even starts. If this produces similar results to yours, in that several folders are not found in the correct directory, then our theory will be confirmed, and you'll need to clean up a bit of space in order to use the UUP2ISO successfully next time.
