can the files from uup dump server be placed in windows\softwaredistribution\download directory and be run for there or are the files downloaded from the server only good for making the iso. I am just interested if the files can be moved there than an install run from there without making a bood usb disk

No they can not. There are some files missing that Windows Update needs in order for it to know what to do with the files that ended up in the SoftwareDistribution\Downlods folder.

Simply put, the instructions are missing.

For additional clarity, you can of course create iso from uupdump files, mount iso as a drive and run setup.exe to upgrade if desired.

Probably various manifest files telling OS what to do to integrate uup files with existing OS.

Hmmm... I don't see any point in this comment. Just repeating what pigpenz already stated he is aware of, and not answering the question in any way. There are situations were corrections are relevant, like when something was answered with wrong information.

Even my answer is answering beyond the question though. Bilal66 answer was right on point and I would have stayed quiet if we hadn't posted at the same time.

    Great job @Bilal66 :)

Download folder in Software Distribution contains no .esd files with build 17120 pending install. The size of Download folder is 117MB (64-bit Windows). This procedure to create an ISO using only UUPtoISO is of no use.
So then SEE the VIDEO on " how to download and use UUP Dump Miniserver to get latest build upgrade files downloaded and" THEN create an ISO image using UUPtoISO.

UUPtoISO_Setup.exe download: Edge Downloads = 0 bytes - 0 bytes downloading and cannot be canceled except by quitting Edge. However in Downloads folder is UUPtoISO_Setup.exe itself - Size = 4.16 MB (4,370,467 bytes).

I just misinterpreted his post. It happens!

I do not see point of you saying there was no point especially as your reply was three times as long! A more discreet pm would be nicer.

@Kari - I just noticed this today when using UUPDUMP mini server - my apologies if it was already covered, but I honestly haven't not seen this before today.

When first starting the miniserver using run.cmd, when your default browser opens with the initial list (aka home page of the server), there seems to be a new option:

UUP to ISO - Create Bootable ISO from Windows 10 Build Upgrade Files-uupdump-1.png

Has this always been there? If not, will this make things easier for folks who don't want to wait for the interminably slow DL speeds of WU?
