From which folder you copied contents to UUPtoISO\UUPs folder?
    J:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download\5eba11d692b6cfd49369e2f031a10655\ copied to K:\UUPtoISO\UUPs\

(On my multiboot system J:\Windows is %SYSTEMROOT% for this current installation)

The version is x86 Pro, and I repeated the copy and attempt to create ISO twice with same UUPtoISO error.

The sizes of the 5eba... folder were compared and were the same in Bytes (not quite the same on disk: disk K: is not a HDD, but a SDHC, J: is on a HDD)

Strange. I have no x86 system, I have to install one first to test. I have not had any issues with 15002, 15007, 15014 and 15019 x64 UUP upgrades and UUPtoISO.

I have not attempted the pending update - I shall do that shortly, and see if it stalls or completes.

I just wanted to gather an ISO together before attempting it. If necessary I'll use another machine.

When I stepped up from 14986 to 15002 The uup download was found in the Windows Old , software distribution folder. I didn't do a disk cleanup. The upgrade worked. and the update box and associated esd's and cabs remain .

Yes, but the topic was where those files are located before the upgrade.

Just a final chapter on saga described in UUP to ISO - Create Bootable ISO from Windows 10 Build Upgrade Files

After losing the install files in $Windows.~BT from that episode, I expect when I inadvertently wiped the \SoftwareDistribution\Downloads\ folder somehow - another download and background update installation over a day and a half offered to restart and update the laptop. Another attempt with these newly downloaded updates again resulted in exactly the same error and failure as before when attempting UUPtoISO.
Mentioning another issue, I attempted to schedule the restart for the update to later than the 17:33 today that was indicated, about an hour before it was due, with no effect, it resolutely refused to accept the date and time I selected. So I cancelled the schedule for the update, decided to bite the bullet, and restart there and then.

So at about 16:45, I went to , power option and update and restart. Result was restart without update, and after finding all the update installation folders and files seemed intact, Windows 10 announced it was going down for an update and restart, I guess at about 17:33.

For the first time since 15019 first appeared on my update page, about 4 attempts previously, it updated faultlessly. Just before 15025 was announced

Just a silly thought - if the contents of \$Windows.~BT\*.* were written to a bootable ISO, wouldn't that clean install perfectly OK on the machine it was prepared on?

    warning   Warning
Last 8 hours I have tried to get UUP to ISO to work with build 15025 UUP files testing all possible methods and scenarios. The results are not encouraging, as other members have reported in this thread it seems ISO cannot be created from UUP upgrade

At the moment I strongly recommend that you edit registry to get ESD upgrade instead of UUP. Remember to enable ESD again in registry after a successful upgrade, it will be reset to UUP.

In this post you can find instructions on how to edit registry to switch to ESD upgrade, and how to discard already downloaded UUP upgrade and re-download it as ESD upgrade instead.

Interesting, because using the tutorial, and after my host machine is ready to install 15025, I went searching for the UUPs - and I only find *1* .esd file in SoftwareDistribution - and it is nowhere near large enough to be the right one nor is it named correctly.

Yes. Enormous size of the UUP folder was another surprise.
