How to Add Change Icon to Context Menu of New Libraries in Windows 10

Libraries gather folders that are stored in different locations so you can browse them in one place. You can include folders and drives to a library as you like, and set a default save location and public save location for the library.

You can add a Change icon context menu to new libraries and new library backgrounds that will let you quickly change the icon of a new library.

This tutorial will show you how to add Change icon to the context menu of new libraries for all users in Windows 10.

While you must be signed in as an administrator to add or remove the context menu, all users will be able to use the context menu.

When you right click or press and hold on a new library or background of a new library and click/tap on Change icon, you will see the "Change Icon" dialog like below.

If you don't change the icon and close or cancel the "Change Icon" dialog above, you will get an "Unspecified error" like below that you can OK and safely ignore.

5 Double click/tap on the downloaded .reg file to merge it.

6 When prompted, click/tap on Run, Yes (UAC), Yes, and OK to approve the merge.

7 You can now delete the downloaded .reg file if you like.

    That's it,
    Shawn
