In that case you could use the tutorial below to reset Microsoft Edge to default to fix this, and try again if you like. If it causes an issue for you again, then you can just reset again.

Awesome, that worked, Thanks Brink!!! :)

If I have an older build, is there a way to upgrade to the newer build so this will work, or is there a work around?

    Thanks

I think you can import favourites in the edge browser but you cannot export only by coping the folder

What older build...of WIn10? If so, then you just need to go to update and update your software. This method should work on all Win10 builds. If you are referring to Win 8.1 or earlier, then you just need to export/import as normal through IE11

Hello @dlkj07, and welcome to Ten Forums. :)

You can upgrade to a new build of Windows 10 via Windows Update.

Well, yeah... that is the "Microsoft" answer.

But using 3rd-party solutions, you can export your favorites to a Bookmarks.html file or export them to Internet Explorer

    Hi,

I backed up my files using Option 1 to copy my favourites to another machine. I copied the folder into the destination folder as stated in Option 2 and that worked fine but my favourites folder in Edge is empty. Any ideas? Thank you.

Hello Oliv, and welcome to Ten Forums. :)

What was the build number of the Windows 10 that you created the backup from?

    https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/2...mber-find.html

If it's not at least build 10565 or newer, the favorites in Edge will not backed up using the method in this tutorial.
