    Hello Dimitri, :)

    Yep, I have that folder as well. It's basically Microsoft Edge automatically creating a backup for the same thing in the tutorial.

    If you like, you can also export and import favorites with an .html file in Microsoft Edge.

    Thanks :)
    I actually follow the Datastore backup (Option 2) in my script. But it's nice to know that there is another backup automatically done by Microsoft Edge. Do you have any idea how often Edge exports the html file?

    I'll mark down date/time of the html export I have now, and check back tomorrow to see the new one (if there is one) and I'll post back my findings.

    @Brink
    Oops....
    I'm so sorry Shawn for repeating what Cliff S had already told you a couple of weeks ago. I hadn't seen his post.

    Update:

    Microsoft Edge, automatically creates an .html export of Favorites to the Hidden folder
    %userprofile%\MicrosoftEdgeBackups\backups\MicrosoftEdgeBackupyyyymmdd
    every day around 10:30 UTC

    This started back last October 17 and mine runs daily at 08:03 local time. I still periodically make a intermittent manual backup now & then just to maintain my paranoia.

    So this didn't work for me, I tried twice with weeks in between but I can't get rid of the settings. So now i'm attempting the Manage Edge Favorites app as suggested by mopar3 below. I'll update later with the results.
