The event is a so called Skype for Business meeting. Link to it will be posted in this thread about half an hour before start, at which point event is already online to give people enough time to join and test it's working for them. During that half an hour I will monitor this thread, post here if you have any issues in joining.

Joining is easy, simple click the event link when it has been published, a page similar to one in this screenshot opens. Select Join Using Skype for Business Web App instead:

If you have not downloaded it already, for instance when participating our earlier live events, download and install the plugin as told in next page step 1, when done click Join the meeting in step 2:
Create Windows 10 ISO image from Existing Installation-image.png

The plugin works on most browsers (Edge, IE, Chrome, Firefox, Opera). It is very small:
Create Windows 10 ISO image from Existing Installation-image.png

All the above from clicking the event link to download and install plugin and join the event does not take two minutes.

An alternative way is to download Lync App from Windows Store and use it instead. Tutorial: Lync App - Join an Online Meeting as Guest. However, people have been reporting they can't share their desktop in cases they would like to show / present something when using Lync App.

Be it Skype Web App plugin or Lync App, no accounts are asked or required. Join as a guest, select screenname and go.

Good to know it works for you without issues. Chrome and Firefox sometimes (not always) fail to install the web plugin, nothing happens when clicking link. If that happens, just open the link, download and install plugin, close Edge and join meeting from Chrome or Firefox. The plugin is shared by all browsers, this should always work.
