Hi Shawn, good article. Thanks for sharing. I applied option 5 and it worked. However, there are some rules that could not be removed. The rule names almost all start with "@{Microsoft" or "@{MicrosoftWindows". Also a few start with "@{Clipchamp." and "@{AppUp.IntelGraphicsExperience". Can you please advise what are these and can I/how to remove them? Thanks.
    Hello, and welcome.

Did you get an error message?

"@{Microsoft" and "@{MicrosoftWindows" is for Windows, so you don't want to remove these.

"@{Clipchamp." is for that app with the same name. Uninstall the app should remove it.

"@{AppUp.IntelGraphicsExperience" is most likely for an Intel app to check for Intel graphics driver updates.

Thanks Shawn. I can't remove those Windows rules, even if I want to. So, when I tried to delete the entries in commander, it showed 'No rules match the specified criteria'. Guess because the names are unusual - contained in two big brackets and very long. All apps are unticked in Firewall settings though, which I guess means they are blocked.

Hi Shawn. I think I may be able to delete these rules from firewall advanced settings. Is it advisable? I see from there the rules names are for example Microsoft ZuneMusic, App Installer, Windows Feature Experience Pack, Windows Security, Windows Defender Smart Screen and are mostly for Private or Domain profile (while I am on Public). I am not quite IT savvy, but I am curious why there are so many rules for Domain or Private profile on my personal PC? Thanks.

I wouldn't recommend doing so for Windows services since it will break them. Any apps can be uninstalled instead.
