Does this still work in 15002 and 15007? I run the reg file, but when I type in "Paint" into search all I get is the Paint3D version as a result.

I can still use mspaint.exe if I find it manually though.

So far, it looks like all we need to do in builds 15002 and 15007 is just use "Open with" to select "C:\Windows\System32\mspaint.exe" for the classic Paint.

Hopefully, it'll stay that way in future builds.

mspaint.exe will not run by itself, throws warning. "Can't create document".

mspaint.exe is currently running by itself for me in build 15007. Odd.

3D Paint is also good but what's needed most often is "Quick and dirty" program for simple tasks. Like Notepad for instance. I keep them both close at hand.

'Classic' Paint also has 3D Paint integration:

Where is Paint now?
Hello, Still getting used to the changes from Windows 7. Why has Paint been removed from my apps list? I have it on my computer but the only way to find it is to search for it. I simply want it either in my Apps or on my desktop. Thanks!
