Q1) If IDM works to resume for you, then you should use that option.
    Thanks a lot, Brink,
Yes, But, I think IDM does nothing with 'Resume capability'. However, Resume capability depends on whether the server on which Windows 10 Disc Image (ISO File) is uploaded can support resume or not?
I now found the answer for my question asked to you before "Why there are no ones having high internet speeds and uploading the Windows 10 latest version ISO files on a server supporting resume possibility? So, they will do a favor for those who have always an electricity outage "

    Private Mode in Windows 10...

Why does Windows 10 change my network from private to public, every time I turn off the capability to make my pc discoverable?

Basically, I want to keep the PC Discovery "Off" while in "Private Network". And Windows 10 is not allowing it. I go into the "Change Advanced Sharing Settings" and select Homegroup to change to Private Network, when I'm home. But the option on the Windows 10 Network Properties window still indicates "On", for making the PC Discoverable. And when I turn it off, the network immediately changes from Private to Public...Argh!!

    Please help...thank you.

Hello @LenaS, and welcome to Ten Forums. :)

If you like, you could use OPTION TWO or OPTION THREE in the tutorial below to turn off/on Network Discovery without changing your network location from private.

Thank you for the quick response, @Brink...but neither option is working. Windows 10 automatically changes it from the Private to a Public Network, when I select "Off" for not making the PC Discoverable. :-/

What type of network connection do you have?

If you have network discovery turned on in Option One at that link, it should let you turn it off/on using Option 2/3 without affecting the network location. At least it does for me on my laptop with a Wi-Fi connection.

Every time I want to change my Network to "Private", Windows 10 asks me if I "want to allow my PC to be discoverable by other PC's and devices on this network". I am at home and would like to use the "Private" setting without having my PC discoverable, but it's not allowing that. So literally, everytime I change to a Private network and select "off" for "discovery", it shifts back to a Public network. It says "We recommend doing this on your home and work networks, but not on public ones." And if I select "No", it won't change. Only if I select "Yes", will it then change to a "Private" Network...but this makes my PC "discoverable", which is what I don't want...even at home.

I'm not sure why it's changing it to public for you when using OPTION TWO below. It's specifically designed to allow you to remain set as private with network discovery off.

    I've performed #3, and #2 isn't cooperating...what do I do? :-/
