Hey I use Dotum font - 3rd post from last: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...55e6e88?auth=1

Any idea how to repair single character of a Font? backslash / sometimes (like in registry, or in some programs, websites) shows as W crossed with _ in middle!

Excel tabs very small after AFSC Tweak

Not sure if anyone is watching this thread as it is quite old now, I tweaked my system with AFSC after noticing my clock was displaying the square instead of the normal colon.
I manged to get the clock right and tweaked some more to improve various displays having moved from a 24" monitor to a 27" monitor, which is where I think I messed up the clock.
Anyway having got everything almost the best I could I have just noticed in Excel 2007 the tabs at the bottom are only just visible.
I have been back int AFSC and tried all combinations of settings but cannot get the tabs back to normal size.
I did enlarged the top display in Excel to see it clearer but even when I go back to normal size the tabs are still only just visible.

Is there a setting in the registry to alter the tabs size, also I am not sure which of the AFSC settings apply to the excel tabs.

Does anyone know how to fix the time issue in the picture I provided? I did everything right according the directions but for some reason the colon on my time clock is not visible ultimately showing a square. I am using Old English from the Monotype Ceremonial Font Pack off the Microsoft Store.Change Default System Font in Windows 10-untitled.png

    Hello Joe, and welcome.

It looks like the font gremlins from W11 made their way to W10.

You can use option two to restore the default system font to undo this.

Afterwards, I've updated option one now to try the new REG version from it to change the default system font without this issue.

Thanks Brink for your response. So I restored my Windows 10 back to the original font and the colon is back but as far as me using the Old English font is there any way to fix that issue from happening?

You can download and use the updated REG in option one that should stop this, but it will no longer include the system clock font due to this issue.

If wanted, you could troubleshoot using option two to undo the changes, then:

    1) Remove a font type line from the REG in option one below, and test using it afterwards to see if the square is still there.

    2) If it is repeat the above, and remove another font line from the REG file until you find the responsible font line. You can then start over with only the responsible line removed.

The fix for that is here:

Win 10 Pro Creators update taskbar clock anomaly - any suggestions?

But you should not just use whatever font you desire for system font as per the warning in the yellow box shown in the tutorial on page 1.
