How to Add Toolbars on the Taskbar in Windows 10

Windows includes a special application desktop toolbar called the taskbar that shows on the bottom of a display screen by default. The taskbar allows you to find, see, open, and switch between your apps. You can also see the date and time, system icons, and items running in the background on the notification area. You can make the taskbar look how you want, manage your calendar, pin your favorite apps to it, change the size, change location on screen, and specify how taskbar buttons group together when you have more than one window open.

You can also add toolbars to the taskbar. The default toolbars include Address, Links, Desktop, and any new toolbars (custom) added by the user or an application.

If you have more than one extended display connected to your PC, then toolbars will only show on the taskbar on your main display by default.

This tutorial will show you how to add toolbars to the taskbar for your account in Windows 10.

    Hi Brink,
Not a big deal, just wondered if you had seen this before.
When I add the Desktop toolbar to taskbar I get 2 X Control Panel, one opens All Control Panel Items in Explorer while the other one eventually expands to several "(Empty)" submenu choices on the fly outs. I know they are not actually empty because I can access them via Explorer. All the other Toolbars and submenus work as expected.

I also have that blank doc at the top of the first expansion which is kind of odd.

    Hello Richard, :)

I see the same thing with the Desktop toolbar. I suppose Microsoft didn't update it since the Control Panel is eventually going to be phased out for Settings.

It wouldn't hurt to send feedback to Microsoft about it to hopefully get it fixed.

I have that empty one on my main PC with a GTX 1080, I see you have a GTX 1070 and Shawn has a GTX 760.

My ASUS laptop has integrated intel graphics, and does not have that empty file above admin tools, so maybe it's a NVIDIA thing, and not Microsoft.
