Hey guys im having trouble installing the lastest audio update via the cab. I've tried both methods via context menu and command prompt, first one shows error 2 can't find the specified file. 2nd method shows error 87 No packages were found that require processing. Any ideas how to solve this ? Thanks.

    Hello unglapungla,

The options in this tutorial will not work to install Realtek HD audio drivers from a .cab file. For that, see: Install Realtek CAB file in Windows 10

    Hello Nick,

I just tested in 1903, and "Install" was added to the context menu of .cab files for me still.

Did you do anything else to customize .cab files?

If you like, you might see if using the .reg file for .cab files in Option Two of the tutorial below may allow it to work afterwards. It restores the default associations and registry entries.

Running the cab resetter worked, thanks Shaun.

Just ran the installer and didn't get prompted to restart the machine.

But it probably means it hasn't installed again.

You could check in Control Panel > Programs and Features > View installed updates to see if it may be listed there.
