The text "Some settings are managed by your organisation" has now gone after the restart. However, when I select the slideshow option, the last chosen picture under the picture option is still shown on the lock screen. How do I get the slideshow option to work?

Sorry to report that I have had absolutely no luck getting the Slideshow to work.

I have found that simply using a local account works on my tablet but when I flip to MSA, the lock screen comes back.

Another solution being bandied around is renaming folder below. HOWEVER, I tried it and got a BSOD but it did work momentarily. Make an image backup before trying this. Renaming the folder back cured my case BUT I CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT - this is risky.

What folder locations are you using for the images?

The slideshow folder is set to a photo folder under My Pictures - I've tried various folders.

I also noted in Spotlight Mode, the correct Lock Screen background is shown when I use Windows Key + L but the last selected picture Lock Screen background is shown when I log out. In Picture Mode, the correct LockScreen background is shown when I use Windows Key + L and log out.

    In summary:

    • In Picture Mode, the Lock Screen background works
    • In Spotlght Mode, I see the correct background using Windows Key + L but the last set picture when I log out.
    • I can't get the Slideshow Mode to work - it just shows the last set picture whether I log out or use Windows Key + L.

Is it just me or has the Anniversdary Update actually broken this trick? I still have the respective registry entry, I've re-enabled the respective setting in GPE, but my lockscreen still appears. It happens on both laptops I use... Anyone has the same problem on 1607?

The screen saver on lock screen is working fine for me in 1607 build 14393.10.

You might try doing a repair install if you like to hopefully fix it without losing anything.

I've got build 14393.10 and I don't know of a solution that would work for me to disable the lock screen.. when I go to settings and try to change the picture, everything is grayed out with the text "some settings are managed by your organization [!?]. Anyway, at least I found a workaround by opening I picture I like and setting it as the lock screen there - I think the Photos "app" did the trick (should be the only thing it's useful though, sigh..).

Anyway, at least now I can choose somehow.. Though, has anyone worked out a way to still disable the lock screen on these latest builds?

So far, using a scheduled task work for me: Disable the Windows 10 Lock Screen (Anniversary Update) - gHacks Tech News

However, does anyone know how to make the task's cmd window hidden or minimised?
