Enable or Disable Lock Screen in Windows 10  

Yes I'm defiantly waiting for a actual fix for this issue, currently for me it only 1 extra click or key press, I just wish it would go away for ever. As a user I find no purpose for this at all. Seems MS just thinks we should have to make this extra key press or click

Brink, you are clearly the best! As are all you folks who have tried to help here. I just wanted to chime in, using Windows 10 Pro version 1607 build 14393.693 on a Surface Pro 3, I tried every single solution offered in this awesome thread and would like to report that nothing has worked. Super bummed but morale remains high due to just how awesome and helpful everyone has been here. I have had bad experiences with Apple and their "help" forums in the past and the difference here is night and day. Keep up the good work everyone

It's about time MS listened to user feedback on this issue. It ought to be simple for MS to offer an option to disable this feature.

I have almost gotten use to it, I still hate it and will get rid of it as soon as we find or MS releases the block they have on GPEDIT

I've got a case where the lock screen still remains: when logging back on to a computer that's been accessed via Remote Desktop.

Really hope there's a fix for this as well. I run into it all the time.

Thanks, this is pretty close to ideal. I can run it from Task Scheduler using "On disconnect from user session" as a trigger to have it automatically log the remote PC back in when I close an RDP session. Here's the PowerShell script I'm using to create the task, if anyone's interested:
