Disable lock screen is being ignored for me in 14271. Registry key is set to one, but I still have the Lock Screen.

    Hello tracit99, :)

Double check the red warning box at the top of the tutorial to see if you may have secure sign-in enabled. If so, that would be why.

    Hi Shawn,

No I do not have secure sign-in enabled. I have had Lock Screen disabled in last several builds and usually it has carried forward into new builds. But not for me in 14271.

Odd. Since you have Windows 10 Pro, test by toggling the group policy in OPTION ONE to "Not configured", apply, and back to "Enabled" to see if that may trigger it to be disabled again.

I toggled this setting in group policy to Not configured then clicked apply. I went back and enabled this policy and clicked apply. I am still seeing Lock Screen. I had this happen way back in build 10130 while others were having no problem. It eventually started disabling in subsequent builds. I have no idea what changed.

Do you have any other group policies enabled that may be overriding this one?

Lock Screen is the only enabled policy. I went to Lock Screen in Settings and I have the message in red letters: Some settings are managed by your organization. However nothing is grayed out which is usually the case when the Lock Screen is disabled.

Just to verify, when you press the Win+L keys, do you still have the lock screen show instead of just the sign-in screen?

Yes, when I press the Win+L keys and when I restart my computer and when returning from sleep I get a Lock Screen. May be fine for those with phones or tablets, but for me it is plain annoying.

I must admit that I'm not sure why your lock screen is not disabled when you have everything set as it should be unless you may have some 3rd party all-in-one tweaking type program installed that may be overriding it.
