You did, but then you were talking about netplwiz and automatic sign in, so I thought you may have mixed up the the lock screen vs sign-in screen.
Just to clarify, are you wanting to have Windows automatically sign in to your account, or just not see the lock screen and only see the sign-in screen instead?
The secong one mate - just not see the lock screen and only see the sign-in screen where I can login using my MS pin instead please.
As I said, I tried all of your suggestions in the first post of this thread but every time I boot up I see that lock screen!!
Thank you for clarifying that.
Since you have Windows 10 Pro, I'm surprised that using step 6 in option 1 didn't disable showing the lock screen for you to only see the sign-in screen.
Usually when the lock screen cannot be disabled, it's because secure sign-in is enabled for users to require them to press the Ctrl+Alt+Delete keys on the lock screen before signing in.
You can check using the tutorial below to see if this may be the case.
Enable or Disable Secure Sign-in with Ctrl+Alt+Delete in Windows 10
Hi Shawn, pintree3 found your tutorial didn't work, alas, and understood Option 1 to be unavailable, perhaps as I commented later because of the use of unfamiliar Insider build numbers.
How can we not have the welcome/splash/lock screen prior to pin
Perhaps rather than saying first it's NOT available, would it be better to say what it IS available for, so as not to immediately deter people?
Option 1 certainly works for me.
Thanks!
Thanks, yes- but I think clarification about availability of the Group Policy option so as not to deter people reading it might help- pintree3 didn't even try that being put off by the text, reading it as not applicable to Pro, and found all the other options failed. I can only guess he/she made some mistake, as Winaero's tweaker succeeded. Odd.
