So far, using a scheduled task work for me: Disable the Windows 10 Lock Screen (Anniversary Update) - gHacks Tech News

However, does anyone know how to make the task's cmd window hidden or minimised?
I'm working on an option to add to the tutorial for this now, and will update after more testing.

Used it on two laptops, and a tablet so far - worked on all of them .

To bad it doesn't work at startup, and only when you lock the computer. I'm still doing some playing and testing to see what I can come up with though.

I auto login and that seems to work fine. It works on sleep as well for me.

Apparently this might help - not tried it as mine works.

    This trigger should work:

    • Trigger on event
    • Log Name: system
    • Source: Microsoft-Windows-Power-Troubleshooter
    • Event ID: 1

You can navigate to C:\Windows\SystemApps\Microsoft.LockApp_cw5n1h2txyewy and rename that folder to something else and the lock screen will be gone

You know, I wouldn't really mind the lock screen if locking the PC didn't give a black screen for 2 seconds before showing it...

Another solution is to edit the security policy (Win10 Pro):

The tutorial has been updated to add OPTION THREE to disable the lock screen using a task.

Hi and thanks for bringing this in and sharing!
I didn't test it out myself yet, but I was left wondering about some things.. when this is working and you do a fresh cold boot, you will still get the lockscreen? And then then when you login, you see the cmd window in action for a split second. When you lock NOW, you'll be at the password field screen?

PS. Could this be of help? command line interface - Run a .bat file in a scheduled task without a window - Server Fault

I'm not getting a command prompt when using the new OPTION THREE in the tutorial on the first page here. You might check to see how it works for you instead.

I tried this method, and got BSODs on two devices - do not recommend it.
