You could try a repair install to see if it may sort it without losing anything.

Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade | Tutorials
I'm lost Brink, the tutorial you linked begins with explaining the difference between "Refresh" and "Reset" then never mentions either word again. I want to make sure I refresh and not reset, is either of them the same as "Repair"? Is that what an in place upgrade does, refresh??? If so, it would be good if somewhere it said, "Repair is the same as Refresh" or something like that.

But then the word "Refresh" links this tutorial Refresh Windows 10 | Tutorials which does say refresh, but then I'm wondering why you sent me to the one you linked if I'm supposed to use this one?

It also says later in the tutorial, "IF prompted to insert media", but I need it to load the newly prepared OS with stuff I removed before so I need to insert media for sure???

I just don't want to reformat and start from scratch so being extra careful how I proceed from here...

Edited to say... I paniced, you said this which is pretty clear...

The options above are great for what they are intended for, but you could also do a repair install of Windows 10 by performing an in-place upgrade without losing anything other than all installed Windows Updates.

Please let us know how it went.

Went great, loaded a new image with Lock App, photo editor and the store included and now they all work.

    Thanks for all the help.
