Good.
It appears that Option 1 and 2 will now also completely disable the lock screen in Windows 10 Pro build 16170.
I'm fixing to test it in the Home edition.
UPDATE:
Confirmed. Option 1 and 2 will now work for all editions to completely disable the lock screen.

Aweeee, so we are going to get control back over this aggravation. I'm still on 15063.138 at least we know its coming.
Ok with this mornings update, My build is now 15063.250. I no longer have the lock screen on boot up. Boot goes directly to log in screen YEA, So it appears that gpedit is working again.
Im in 1703 latest Win10, used gpedit and the reg-file , but this awfull lockscreen ( only blue screen, with some icons in the right-corner below ) still appears for a few seconds , while I dont use a password to log-in...........
Hello pietcorus2, :)
If it has icons (ex: network & battery) on the bottom right corner, it sounds like you may briefly be seeing the Sign-in screen instead of lock screen.
This screen with icons ,bottom right, stays for about 3 seconds ,then my account-picture appears for 2 seconds, then Im in Win10 desktop. I have on two ways (gpedit and regedit) disabled the lockscreen. The sign-in-screen we dont need either, coz Im not using password on my own machine. It takes about 2 a 3 seconds more to start up ,compared with 1607.( 7 a 9 seconds )
Another thing what we try to fix, is the personalisation-context-menu, it was so beautifull in 1607-version, now we have this al lost ! Im seaching for solution, think I have to go to other forum-item..........
