I just did a clean install of Windows 10 Pro and I was forced to set up a pin and I prefer my password which has worked fine since the MS-DOS days. I tried to remove the pin following your instructions, but the REMOVE is grayed out.

Double check the note under step 2 to see if that may apply to the grayed out "Remove" button.
I fell into the same trap a few months ago.

You can change this setting easily by following the several steps:
Click on the window button shows on your PC
Go to setting option and option the account section
Sign-in option is there choose that, and allow the remove option by clicking it.

I'm working my way through home (3PC) Network access issues that have got worse since we lost Homegroups and more so in the very latest W10 update. I was recommended to remove the PIN to help me trouble shoot, however is its been so long I've used PIN, I cant recall for sure the password. :C
If I remove the PIN is there a way to retrieve the password short of a total reinstall? EDIT Just saw the post on remove password!
I shall be heading over to the Network section next.

it is possible if i don't remember pin and i am not logged in? maybe new Hirens Boot CD has this option, but i dont see this? please!
