The main thing is that you got it to work using the other method. No need to try the other for Windows 10 when you have Windows 8.1.

It should work for both, but for some reason it's not working for you. That's why I recommended the method in the other tutorial that worked as another option.

Some options work for some, but not others sometimes.

What do you think? How can the problem be fixed specifically?

There's nothing that needs to be fixed since you are able to do what you want using the other option.

Thank you for all the time you spend helping us

I get to step 10 it returns the message "The task scheduler can not create the task, the user account is unknown and the password is incorrect".
I am the Administrator, my account does not have password on purpose, because I do not want to login at the computer startup.
Can I create this task otherwise?

BTW, you may correct Step 8 thats make a confusion
    from
    B) Type powershell.exe in the Program/script field.
    C) Copy and paste the command below into the Add arguments field.
    Code:
-ExecutionPolicy Bypass -Command "Checkpoint-Computer -Description \"Automatic Restore Point\" -RestorePointType \"MODIFY_SETTINGS\""
    to
    B) Type wmic.exe in the Program/script field.
    C) Copy and paste the command below into the Add arguments field.
    Code:
/Namespace:\\root\default Path SystemRestore Call CreateRestorePoint "Automatic Restore Point", 100, 7
    Isn't it?

    Regards

    coukou,

Your account would indeed need to have a password to be able to use it for an elevated (Run with highest privileges) task.

You would want to use the written instructions at step 8 that have been updated since the screenshot.

Sorry to ask you to be more specific because I did not understand.

Should I use the instructions written in step 8
    B) Type powershell.exe in the Program/script field.
    C) Copy and paste the command below into the Add arguments field.
    Code:
-ExecutionPolicy Bypass -Command "Checkpoint-Computer -Description \"Automatic Restore Point\" -RestorePointType \"MODIFY_SETTINGS\""

Or, those described in the screenshot
    Code:
    2. wmic.exe
    3. /Namespace:\\root\default Path SystemRestore Call CreateRestorePoint "Automatic Restore Point", 100, 7

Use the written instructions in step 8. The screenshot has now been updated as well though.

Created, Tested... Works like a charm
However, is there anyhow to set this task 1 time per day at the first startup?
