    Hello scopio, :)

    Congrats on the new PC.

Personally, I wouldn't recommend to move system folders like those. I find that doing so could introduce unknown issues.
Thanks Brink for the quick response. That is why I asked a knowledgeable person like you if there could be issues by moving those folders. Thanks, Iwill take your recommendation and not move them.

I move my downloads folder to my new location but I would not move the public folder for reasons as Brink said.

    Hello nem,, :)

Double check to make sure that the Storage Service service is enabled and set to Start (running) and manual. If it's not, then it won't detect the other drives.

Hello there, it's my first post here.

I have a problem. I upgraded my hard drive (D: ) and the Apps location came back to C: and I can't change it back to D:. I select D: and when I apply it comes back to C:

Same issue here. Searched everywhere and seems to be the only one out there who had the same problem as I did. Did you ever figure out a solution without a complete reinstall? I REALLY don't want to go that route.

    Hi, two things.

    1. You can move UWP apps to a new drive without uninstalling first. Simply go to the app in the Apps & features settings, click on it and choose move. Might want to update the note section of the tutorial.

    2. Do you know if there is a way to install to\move apps to a NON-root location? It's rather annoying that if I set UWP apps to my K: drive it installs directly to the root and clutters it up with 3-4 folders.

    Thanks!

    Hell Bob, :)

Thank you. I've updated the note in the tutorial for moving existing apps.

I'm not aware of a way to have them moved to any other location than the root that wouldn't cause issues.

    Hello
I wanted to move windows app to another driver that I installed programs.(Program Files/Program Files(x86))

When I move new windows app installed to this drive, I see pop-up window that says “this drive has apps from another device.to use this drive, the other apps must first be deleted.”

What can I do ? If I select “yes”, what happened?
    Thanks,

Hello Cougar, and welcome to Ten Forums. :)

It appears that you have already previously had apps moved to that location.

If you click on "Yes" the apps currently on that drive will be deleted to allow you to move your currently installed apps to the drive.

If the delete apps were being used by you, you'll have to reinstall them again afterwards.
