    How to See Devices that are able to Wake Computer in Windows 10


    This tutorial will show you how to see a list of installed devices that are able to wake your Windows 10 PC from a sleep or hibernate state.


    Contents

    • Option One: To See Devices that are Currently Configured to Wake Computer from any Sleep State
    • Option Two: To See Devices that Support Waking Computer from any Sleep State
    • Option Three: To See Devices that Support Waking Computer from Light S1 Sleep State

    OPTION ONE

    To See Devices that are Currently Configured to Wake Computer from any Sleep State


    1 Open a command prompt.

    2 Copy and paste the powercfg -devicequery wake_armed command into the command prompt, and press Enter. (see screenshot below)

    OPTION TWO

    To See Devices that Support Waking Computer from any Sleep State


    1 Open a command prompt.

    2 Copy and paste the powercfg -devicequery wake_from_any command into the command prompt, and press Enter.






    OPTION THREE

    To See Devices that Support Waking Computer from Light S1 Sleep State


    1 Open a command prompt.

    2 Copy and paste the powercfg -devicequery wake_from_S1_supported command into the command prompt, and press Enter.






    OPTION FOUR

    To See Devices that Support Waking Computer from Deeper S2 Sleep State


    1 Open a command prompt.

    2 Copy and paste the powercfg -devicequery wake_from_S2_supported command into the command prompt, and press Enter.






    OPTION FIVE

    To See Devices that Support Waking Computer from Deepest S3 Sleep State


    1 Open a command prompt.

    2 Copy and paste the powercfg -devicequery wake_from_S3_supported command into the command prompt, and press Enter.

    How does one figure out which device corresponds to which? In regards to when two devices are listed as:
    HID-compliant mouse
    HID-compliant mouse (002)

    Device manager doesn't seem to show the difference, or it's listed in the details tab under some option and I'm missing it...

    I suppose you could use the process of elimination by disabling one of them in Device Manager to help ID them.

    Thanks! That did the trick.
    Never knew disabling a device would also remove it from being listed in the cmd command. Now we don't have to brick something to check
