How to View Downloads in Microsoft Edge in Windows 10


Microsoft Edge is a new web browser that is available across the Windows 10 device family. It is designed for Windows 10 to be faster, safer, and compatible with the modern Web.

This tutorial will show you how to view and clear the history of downloads and open the Downloads folder in Microsoft Edge for your account in Windows 10.

OPTION ONE

To View and Clear History of Downloads in Microsoft Edge


1. Open the Microsoft Edge app, and do step 2, step 3, or step 4 below for how you would like to open Downloads.

2. If you just downloaded a file, click/tap on the View downloads button at the bottom, and go to step 5 below. (see screenshot below)

3. Press the CTRL+J keys, and go to step 5 below.

4. Click/tap on the Favorites (Ctrl+I) button, and go to step 5 below. (see screenshot below)

5. Click/tap on Downloads on the left side. (see screenshot below)

To Clear Downloads:
  • Click/tap on X at the right of a listed download to clear that single download.
  • Click/tap on the Clear all link to clear all downloads.

Clearing downloads will only clear your download history in Microsoft Edge, it will not delete the actual downloaded file(s) in your Downloads folder.

OPTION TWO

To Open Downloads Folder in Microsoft Edge


1. Open the Microsoft Edge app, and do step 2, step 3, or step 4 below for how you would like to open Downloads.

2. If you just downloaded a file, click/tap on the View downloads button at the bottom, and go to step 5 below. (see screenshot below)

3. Press the CTRL+J keys, and go to step 5 below.

4. Click/tap on the Favorites (Ctrl+I) button, and go to step 5 below. (see screenshot below)

5. Click/tap on Downloads on the left side, and click/tap on the Open folder link on the right side. (see screenshot below)

6. The Downloads folder will now be open to do what you like with the files in it. (see screenshot below)

The default Downloads folder used by Microsoft Edge is your %UserProfile%\Downloads folder.
