It creates a Windows Service, if you tool in Task Manager you will see what it's doing.

I got the offer too. I don't need any more licenses, but if I did, this would be great.

    Setting or Saving Comments

Again, @Kari, thank you for a wonderful tutorial. I have a question about comments. On page 1, Part 4, #3 (Backup and Restore with Macrium Reflect), you posted an image about setting & saving comments.

I've used comments with my backups, which I find here:

However, in your tutorial, you have:
Backup and Restore with Macrium Reflect-image.png.
I know how to get there, as you've shown, but what is the difference between setting the comment & entering a comment & click finish (which seems to show up after the backup anyhow) & "Save this comment with this backup".

    Thank you in advance.

P.S. Is there a way to post a clickable URL to the actual part of the tutorial?

I need help after installing Macrium Reflect. Is this the right place?

Hi, I just installed Macrium Reflect 7.2 build 4971. First got notification Windows Security is blocking it but I see Macrium folders in Programs and app comes up. Now, I'm not seeing the screens in the tutorial. I did not see "When run first time Reflect suggests you to create WinPE rescue media". I read in user guide to first create boot menu. I have no idea what that is but I did it and I assume it's on the C drive. Is that right? Now I selected Rescue Media Builder and chose Removable USB flash drive. Then clicked on advanced, Rescue Media Volume and it only shows C drive. I am not seeing Next buttons, only help, advanced, build and close. To summarize, the screens I am seeing do not match the tutorial. The User Guide is very detailed (547 pages!) and I'm on pg 311 and not seeing what the guide says either.
Can I pay someone to walk me through this (on phone? chat?) step by step? ugh!

What happens if you click "Build"? Here's a paste from the user guide:

    Main User Interface

Macrium Rescue Media Builder provides a simple interface to allow for quick rescue media generation by selecting where the rescue media will be generated and then clicking a button. 'Build'

All options for the rescue media will be suitably defaulted based on existing rescue media builds and a scan of the operating system environment.

Choose a rescue media target under 'Select Device'

    Click 'Build'

    Regarding the boot menu:

It's a convenient way to run Macrium when your hard drive is still running OK. You'll see a menu when you boot:

choice A, run Macrium from the hard drive

choice B; do a normal boot and go on into Windows.

The latter would be the default. You can select choice A if you want.

You could NOT use the boot menu and still get to Macrium by allowing the normal boot and then just choosing Macrium from your list of programs and it would run from the hard drive.

If your hard drive is dead, of course you wouldn't see this menu and would have to use the Rescue Media.
