Backup and Restore with Macrium Reflect  

It looks to me like there's an option to add or remove it when you build rescue media:

So when you created your rescue USB that's when it either does or does not get added. (I think)

I'm not 100% sure.

So really the question is: How did you create rescue media?

If you didn't create a rescue USB then don't remove the boot menu or you won't be able to restore an image on boot.

Thanks again, but I just made a new rescue disk & there was no option for a boot menu. Both the KB & the user manual say to go to Other Tasks... I haven't really missed having the option though; thought I'd just try it out.

You mean that you don't have a boot menu option? I'd leave it then. I always found it a pain and preferred to simply boot from USB when needed.

If you're still looking for it....

1) Click Other Tasks>Create Rescue Media
2) Select Remove Boot Menu
3) Click Remove

You know I read this wrong. I thought that you wanted to find the option to remove the boot menu - not add it!

No. I wanted to find the option to add the boot menu. I was going to try it out, although I make my rescue disks on CDs & have always used them when I want to restore.
