In anticipation of 19041, just finished an image of C: using MR. At the same time decided to update my MR rescue disk. I formated a used USB Lexar stick FAT32 and did the defaults on rescue creation. Tried a test boot up and it worked fine. Don't know if it is normal to add at some point the 14091.iso to it and use it to do a clean install?
You have to create a separate boot UFD with the installation ISO (format the UFD with FAT32, mount the ISO, copy all the files and folders to the UFD). Use the ISO downloaded with MCT (Media Creation Tool).

Or, you can create a multi-boot UFD with Macrium and the installation ISO.

For < $10 USD, get another thumb. They're hanging on the rack at checkout at Staples, Office Depot, Best Buy, probably 7-Eleven.

Wow! I hadn't thought of putting the ISO on with Macrium, Meebers. Can both the Rescue Media and the ISO both be put on the USB stick together?

I would check both, source and target drives for any faults. I also had a problem with unstable RAM that prevented verification.

Might be worth checking for VSS errors too.
