Maybe you've been buying decent USBs.

    Macrium v7 Help article said:
To use a USB stick as a boot device, Windows requires a Master Boot Record (MBR) however some USB sticks are shipped without one and with just a single partition. The USB stick, therefore, needs formatting but the standard Windows format option does not prepare the disk correctly as it does not create a master boot record. You therefore need to prepare the USB stick using other tools, for example, Windows diskpart.

    Hi Denis and Keith,

Late 2017, when MR 7 was introduced, I used a "cheapo" 4GB USB stick given to me in a conference, to create Rescue Media. Since then I have overwritten it numerous times, as I recreate Rescue Media with every new release. I have never, ever encountered any problem booting with this stick. And I've done it quite a few times, both for restoring and for testing it...

As Keith said, maybe I was lucky, or the "conference present" USB stick wasn't that cheapo after all, but it has never failed me and I keep using it until today!!! Maybe it's time to reconsider

Does anyone else use the Macrium Reflect splash screen here ?

I set my timer for 3 seconds.

    Yep; 2 seconds.

I've noticed that occasionally it is bypassed.

If you mean the splash that appears before a scheduled task then yes. I find it useful if I am in the middle of something when the task runs to delay the execution.

No, the Macrium Splash screen that comes up every time you turn on your PC. It only comes on once before you get to windows.

Strange, I just had a update for the Boot Menu, but not Macrium

Re doing my usb stick too.

Ah, That's not specifically Macrium. It's a windows feature, it appears with any multi-boot system. I just leave it at 10 secs.

I think you are confused, this splash screen is built by Macrium, when you make your Rescue Media, you can choose to have it or not.

    10 seconds

I`m not saying you`re wrong Keith, but it only ever came up for me when I create the Rescue Media.

I have a picture but it won`t upload It even says it uploaded LOL
